Since being named Miss South Carolina 1997 in the Miss America Organization, Janet has traveled from Carolina to California sharing her testimony and music. She continues to write songs and stories. Janet has completed two Christian recording projects, one with original songs entitled, For Such a Time as This. ​Janet's most recent project is a Southern Fiction Novel, The Funeral Singer. Janet makes her home in Western North Carolina. She is a wife to Matt and the mother of two adults, Sam and Darby.
